You can download Microsoft’s Windows Internet Explorer 9, now.
I love the url: beautyoftheweb.com
If they can follow through with their claim that Internet Explorer 9 has been built to handle HTML5, it will certainly bring the “beauty of the web” right to your window.
We will see. I have my doubts. What Microsoft calls “handling HTML5” and what developers call “handling HTML5”, may be two entirely different things.

It’s great! i still prefer chrome but it is a huge huge step in the right direction for microsoft, thier html5 support is minimal but at least they are there, hopefully ie10 isn’t another 1-3 year release cycle. I love chrome’s release cycle that they update every month it seems like.
Eric Dye says
Word.
I’m totally hooked on Chrome, now.
Graham says
Same here. Chrome is the bee’s knees.
Eric Dye says
This is a post on IE9, and all we can talk about is Chrome, LOL!
Matthew Snider says
I honestly have no use for this. Wish as a designer I didn’t have to check sites within it. As least for my clients, they are still on IE6 🙁
Eric J says
You still support ie6? I told my clients in a very nice way that i do not support 10 year old browsers and that i will put warning on the homepage to warn others to upgrade.
Eric Dye says
Educating clients can be tricky.
Please, Dear God, let IE6 DIE!!!
Phillip Gibb says
if it was not for twitter I would have missed this and the yawwwn tweet I made – it was a trilling moment for me 😛
I suppose it would be good to try it out and not be so elitist, I guess
Eric Dye says
I’m not sure why they tried so hard to make a splash, when they knew it was lacking in so many areas.
Hal says
I love that your picture is of Chrome with the IE9 Download within. Speaks volumes.
Eric Dye says
LOL!
I like using a good browser.
🙂
Craig Allen says
Sure looks a lot like Chrome to me…
Eric Dye says
The browser used to display the IE9 website, is Chrome.
I … uh … use a good browser 😉
