I recently read a post by Eric Dye about posting professional videos to Instagram. This idea was sent to him by Alex Welgraven, video producer for Radiant Church. I was immediately fascinated with this idea and researched it and created a video tutorial on how to create to do this.
Watch the tutorial below and learn how to do it:
How can you use this in your church or your ministry?

If you liked this video tutorial, you can find more on my website at Web Video Chefs.

Very neat! I think the best thing to do would be to film it thinking of the square crop ahead of time of course :D.

I agree, but sometimes you shoot a video and then turn it into an Instagram video. Good advice though.

Love this article. We need more stuff like this.

Thanks for your comment Kenny. I will post more tutorials soon!

Love it! Thanks for the video. I’m using this to promote a youth invite night coming up. A lot of our students have moved from Facebook to Instagram and other social networks, and it’s up to us to meet them where they are.
Thanks for your help.

No problem Jeff. Glad it was helpful. I post on Instagram all the time, yes, students are on the site and that is where to find them. Creating high-quality Instagram videos is key.

Hey Chip!
I definitely an Am. Is possible to do something simple using iMovie?
Chip Dizard says
I wish you could! Adobe Premiere has the settings for this. Trust me I tried to do it with iMovie Final Cut Pro X and more….Sorry….until they let you have custom settings.

Hello,
Great resource. I know this a while after the original post, but I did an IG promo for our young adult group using FCPX, and you can create a 640×640 video using the custom settings when you make a new project. It works pretty well. Be blessed and keep up the great work.
Chip Dizard says
You are right Trey! I did this tutorial before FCPX 10..1.1 is out. I will update the post and add another post to it. Thanks so much.
Take care,
Chip

All of this is fine except I dont have an Iphone. I think that might be why I cannot seem to post videos to instagram. Any ideas of how to do all this on an Android phone?
