How the Bible is Shared [Infographic]

HTBIS

This is another cool infographic from YouVersion!

This details not only how the Bible is shared, but what from the Bible is shared.

A very interesting look:

Some interesting data here. Here are my non-empirical takeaways:

  • Jeremiah 29: 11 is an all-purpose verse. So is Isaiah 53:5.
  • Facebook is still a valid sharing platform.
  • SMS is a MAJOR sharing platform.
  • More than 31 million verses were shared via the YouVersion Bible App in 2012.
  • Electronic Bibles are not a novelty anymore.

Having scripture as a part of our online/connected lives is invaluable. Bible apps have been a part of my life since Bible+ on PalmOS way back when, so all this is especially interesting to me. It is so awesome to see how the concept has grown, and continues to grow.

Thoughts?
