I admit the title of this post is a little illusive, but Hey! I had to get your attention.
However, to some extent I could be right, after all Eric is a coffee lover who lives in Italy.
Coffee is a somewhat cultural thing in Europe (and a good part of the world), and the good folks of House Trip did us a solid by giving a comprehensive infographic of the drink across Europe.
The infographic focuses on three European capitals – Rome (Italy), Spain (Barcelona), and Paris (France).
This infographic highlights some things foreigners may not know about the coffee drinking culture of the aforementioned European cities. For example, Italians won’t drink ‘milky coffee’ on a full stomach, and ordering one after breakfast will attract strange looks your way, and in Spain Bars and Cafe basically be the same thing as the definition is blurry so one can be served Coffee and Alcohol in most “Cafes” and “Bars.”
Check out the infographic below.
Now is this how Eric Dye drinks his coffee?

Eric Dye says
I get a standard espresso with en espresso spoon of sugar—the most common way to have it, here. 😉
Thanks for asking! 😀
Michael says
Good to know Eric! You use sugar in your espresso? Why? Personally, I love my espressos black and foamy.
Eric Dye says
Probably because it’s the standard here in Italy. I drink American style coffee without sugar, so it is kind of funny that I sugar up the espresso.
