The popularity of pumpkin spice flavoring this fall has reached such an all-time high, Starbucks recently had a shortage of their magic potion.
We’ve been living in Italy for almost three years now, and although I do miss the awesome flavor of the seasonal pumpkin spice latte, this year seems to be more popular than ever. Just a few weeks ago, my wife asked me about the popularity. She said,
“Look at my Pinterest feed! EVERYTHING has pumpkin spice in it! Even chocolate brownies?”
Yes, even lonely missionaries in Southern Europe has noticed the pumpkin spice craze.
For those of you that can’t afford multiple Starbucks stops or just like to have fun in the kitchen, here’s what you need to make your own:
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tablespoon canned pumpkin puree
- 1 cup coffee
- 3 cubes of white sugar
- half & half creamer (to taste)
- whipped cream
- ground cinnamon (optional)
Read how to put it all together from The Morning Fresh.
I giggled a little when I marked this post under “Creative > Tutorials.”
Enjoy!
