Gmail Now Supports Multiple Sign-in

I have 11 active Gmail accounts. It’s sort of nutty when I put on my normal-people-thinking-cap. But I’d wager that you are no different because you my friend are also in IT. That, and the fact that Google Apps is a common solution to mail server management in the non-profit space.

Well I have wonderful news! A few days ago Google announced a new feature for power users like us that permits a user to stay signed-in with multiple accounts simultaneously.

In true Google form, it’s still in beta.

The announcement on the Gmail blog gave 3 warnings.

  • Some Google services are not compatible.
  • Not compatible with offline Google tools.
  • No mobile browser support.

Even still, this is very handy for those of us in the IT industry!

This is going to be a major time-saver. Gone are the days of multiple browsers open (work on Firefox, home on Chrome etc.).

Finally. This is such a needed feature. I’m happy. :)
