I announced the birth of our first child on Twitter… with a Caesar Cipher.

I think that means I deserve a super rad hanger.

that is some mighty awesomesauce. did you also provide the decode in the original 140 character message? :-)

I think I deserve the 8-bit hanger because my leather jacket is 7 bits as cool as the 8bit hanger – hanging it on it will give it the parity that it is missing

I don’t have any cool geeky reason why I deserve it, but I was told just yesterday that I need a hanger in my guest bathroom. Maybe I deserve it for that reason alone?

I’m blocking your SoChurch ad with AdBlock. And I have a member’s only-esque jacket I bought in HK in 2007 that I haven’t washed and needs a place to air out.

block CSS selector div[id="mta_bar"] on all domains if anyone else was annoyed like I was.

I’ve been told my cubicle needs more flair. I’m surrounded by servers and geeks. Can there be any better flair?

I deserve this insanely cool 8-bit hanger, because the legit, older than 8-bit technology, Pea Coat my dad handed down to me deserves a home on this!
I will post a pic to prove it’s legit-ness and it’s olderthan8bit-ness if proving needs to be had.

My leather jacket eats hangers for lunch. It also bends the old style cheap metal hangers and has so for contributed to the death of 1 plastic hanger. My wife bought it for me as a Christmas gift when we were dating and it came with it’s own hanger. A heavy weight metal hanger with thick shaped plastic around the shoulders to keep the jacket’s shape. The jacket comes in around 5 lbs.

I ask that this particular hanger featured above not be given to me as it might very well be ripped from the wall. Living near Seattle, I don’t put my leather jacket away very often as our average temp only gets to the 80′s for about 3 months out of the year.

I’m probably not geeky enough for this but it is dang awesome!

Because I just got my first Blackberry last week and promptly installed the original Mario Bros “Overworld” as my ring tone.

http://ow.ly/1r0GE <~~~~got mine from elsewhere, but the muscle memory for that game is still there.

    The Geeky Side.

In the 7th grade, I memorized pi to 45 decimals places. Useless except as a password into my voicemail box. I always use the maximum allowable characters in the password and use a subset of of the value of pi that I know.

I also use this knowledge as a sermon illustration for useless knowledge.

I have a Macbook Pro laptop with two external monitors connected to it. One has a Windows VM running. The other has a Linux VM running. The LCD on the laptop shows the OSX desktop. I run Spaces just to confuse people who pass by my office.

I am often compelled to solve defenseless Rubik cubes. Usually within 30-60 seconds. Except the keychain ones; people don’t want to give me their keys for that length of time.

I still have my iPaq because there’s no Genesis emulator for the iPhone.

I argue for Star Trek with Star Wars fans. And vice versa.

I saw the 8-bit hanger and couldn’t think of one pull-my-finger joke.

The first Nintendo game (actually, the first video game)I ever beat was Legend of Zelda. That is right, my first win EVER was against 8 bit Gannon. That being said, I am having a baby girl (well, my wife is…) in about a month. Imagine this, the first coat hanger she sees EVER is 8 bit. This could start her on the path to Hyrule….
