The Plan – Go Get Seth Godin’s Tribes
So, here’s the plan.
Let’s all call Catalyst West and ask them to ship us (you) a copy of Seth Godin‘s book Tribes. Then, leave a comment below sharing with us that you are getting the book and that you’d like to participate in the Group Blogging Project.
If we get enough people interested in doing it then we’ll launch our Group Blogging Project on Tribes and have tons and tons of fun!
Ok. So, I Ordered. … Now What?
A Group Blogging Project is where we’re going to read through a book together and use our blogs as mediums for communicating our findings, what we’ve learned, and to encourage each other through online fellowship around a book.
Think of it as a “Digital Book Club.”
Once everyone get’s their copy, I’ll organize the bloggers who are interested into focused chapter groups to blog about a specific chapter of the book and to lead the conversation on their blogs.
We’ll all take turns until the entire book is completely read! By reading through it together we’ll better be able to grasp the concepts, build community among ourselves, and it’ll also increase visiblity and traffic to your blog (that’s a good thing!).
So, go for it. Ask Catalyst West to send you a copy of “Tribes” and then let me know that you’re good to go!

I called and got a message saying everyone at Catalyst was in a meeting. lol I guess I'll call back tomorrow. Does anyone know if you have to go to Catalyst to get a book? If not, I'll get Tribes and do try the group blogging project.

I'll do it. It's just that there is no table of contents and there are probably 150 sections. I'm not sure I'd call them chapters. Each is about the length of a blog post.

ok, I asked for Tribes and I'm down for the book discussion. BTW, when I called the guy I spoke to gave me a list of books to choose from so I don't think you can order any book you like, though I guess I didn't ask so I can't be 100% sure about that.
