We’ve seen our fair share of fake twitter accounts but what about fake church blogs?
I may not be real, but I do rock.
The Experimental Church Blog, which was brought to my attention by Stephen and I’ve read a few of the posts, which are a bit entertaining, but I find it generally boring, to be honest.
It starts here and whoever “Brad” is updates somewhat frequently.
*yawn*
Just as boring as fake twitter accounts.

That is freakin bizarre. They seem to have a pretty lively comments section though. I guess some people have a similar sense of humor. What if he was writing fake comments, and then responding to them himself.
I laughed. The posts read like ‘a confederacy of dunces’.
hehe.
interesting concept…i bet 20bucks that this guy owns a company/or is a consultant that markets to churches…
Agreed. I scanned a few of them and read some comments. Definitely not all that interesting. Not at all like the stuff that I see retweeted from @fakestevejobs.
If I read a legit church/pastor’s blog like that I would do everything in my power to never visit.

Who of us haven’t been guilty of this from time to time?
*Warning* I am hopping onto my soapbox.
There are Christian blogs out there that are popular (50-100 comments per post) that I am starting to find boring. Some of these people I think have lost their desire for blogging and just toss something, anything up on their site for two reasons:
1. To remain popular.
2. To sell ads.
It appears they are trying to earn money and popularity and don’t care so much about writing good quality content. But then again, when one gets 100 comments for a posting nothing why try…
Stepping off soapbox now…
david, you are TOTALLY right.
thanks for this perspective.
