Faithlife Study Bible [Free Subscription through March 2014]

[Free Subscription for ChurchMag readers through March 2014!]

The Faithlife Bible claims to be the most advanced study Bible in the world.

It might just be.

Created by Logos, the Faithlife Study Bible was built from the ground-up with the new digital world in mind.

They’ve done an incredible job of adapting Bible study into a desktop and mobile experience.

Faithlife Study Bible

The Faithlife Study Bible is 2.2 million words deep — with a full 1.4 million notes and articles, including the proprietary Lexham English Bible. Impressive, for sure, but it’s the design of the Faithlife Study Bible that’s really awesome.

Features include:

  • 3 layers of study notes
  • Devotionals
  • About 400 photos, videos and infographics
  • Available for just about any mobile device
  • Create and join church, school or personal groups
  • Make and share Community Notes
  • Set group reading plans with reminders!
  • Share lessons, outlines and other documents
  • Set your own privacy preferences

The Faithlife Study Bible comes with the Lexham English Bible, but if you would like to add more versions, you can add them for around $10 each. The multimedia and the ability to use it across many different devices is great, but what I found to be the best part was how it layers the notes — especially on mobile devices.

When it comes to using the Faithlife Study Bible in a group, you can’t beat it. Being able to setup groups is awesome. Not only can you setup a group for your Bible study, but entire churches could set them up as well! A really cool, interactive, social media like function that’s built right in.

If you like to write in the margins and/or use a highlighter in your paper Bible, you can do the same thing with the Faithlife Study Bible. It includes various highlighter colors, text colors and over 50 different markups and symbols.

I’ve never seen a Bible that has combined the advantages of having a physical copy, along with the ease of it being digital, while supercharging it with interactivity.

This sounds pretty legit, especially since it is made by Logos, how extensively have you used it?

Just a short time, so far. It wasn’t “officially” released until today, Tuesday Jun 26th, but we had the inside deets on it. :D

Brian, have you already entered the coupon code? If not, go to http://www.faithlifebible.com , enter the coupon code JohnSaddington, and then login. (Entering a coupon code on the site is necessary before the app will work–the resources have to be affiliated with your account first.) If you have already gone through that process, feel free to email me at John[at]logos[dot]com and I will help you sort it out.

Brian, please use coupon code FREE for the moment–the other coupon code is having some trouble. We are on it.

I’m a bit confused Eric, you wrote about it being free till March 2014, but when I register on their site it says till June 2013, but I still have to give payment info for 29,95. I can’t see what that’s for without actually giving the ‘order’, I’m assuming for after the free trial period ends…would you happen to know this or do I need to contact Faithlife itself?
