It’s very timely that I am writing this article because in my Facebook, RSS feed, and Google+ accounts, I have seen at least one post about how to increase your Facebook following, all by different people. Yet, I read them all and they definitely fall within the arena of scams or failures.
Why? Because you are not getting fans, you are getting bots. Just because you have a 1,000 does not mean 1,000 people.
In fact, having more might actually hurt you. Here’s why.
- Facebook Frauders click like 1,000 times, all to hide the 5 or 10 likes that they are actually paid to like.
- Click farms are all over, but they can actually get to you even if you advertise for only America. It’s not hard to lie where you are from or VPN to an American server.
- Because they do not interact with your page’s posts by liking statuses, resharing, or commenting, Facebook actually devalues your posts. Thus buying followers or not doing the work could permanently hurt your page.
How do you avoid Facebook fraud?
