Should Businesses Allow Facebook at Work?

The idea that social media in the work place has always been a hot button issue.

Should employers allow their employees to use it? Or will it be too much of a distraction and actually cost the company money because people are wasting time Liking their friends’ photos?

Did you know …

  • People who are allowed a paid “Facebook break” did better than those without.
  • People are happier if they can use Facebook and therefore actually are healthier. (Meaning less sick days for the employer to pay for)
  • 50% of CEOs do not allow Facebook at work.

    My employer allows Facebook at work …. and it’s a good thing, too, since I manage our Facebook page … :)
