It’s only been 24 hours since we’ve gotten an iPad and I’ve already downloaded and trialed 50 apps. This might not be an incredibly large number, but it feels like it to me.
So far the iPad has given me mixed feelings in terms of use, value, and productivity – For example I had imagined that using the WordPress App for the iPad was going to completely suck but when I spent time this morning in Starbucks moderating comments and it wasn’t too bad.
Well, until I realized that I needed some photo-editing capabilities and my Photoshop was not readily available.
*sigh*
But Evernote for the iPad hasn’t disappointed yet and I’ve had a blast using it in the last few days.
Yes, you don’t have things like the iSight Note and such but it syncs flawlessly with my account and I’ve already found great use of it taking notes for future blogs posts, business ideas for 8BIT, and more.
Loading a 10meg powerpoint presentation was easy and painless and navigated smoothly. Other media presented the same fluidity.
Visually it’s stunning and surprisingly the audionotes functionality worked pretty well. I’d imagine using an external mic would produce much crisper results.
All-in-all I’m quite pleased. The app zips and is super fast and it does what I need it to do.

I think I might just want an iPad…;)

I used Evernote when it was in beta a few years ago, I should try it again though, it seems to be a fan-favorite all over the place these days.
And I’m with Jordan, I want an iPad…
