Don't Leave Your iPhone in a Hot Car

Apparently if you leave your iPhone in a place where it can get really, really hot, it’ll actually lock up on you and give you the above warning sign!

I had no idea, and it’s not like you want this to happen anyways, right?

I had left my iPhone in the car baking in the hot summer sun and it was literally too hot to hold.

I wonder if Droid handsets and/or BlackBerry handsets have internal heat monitoring like the iPhone? I have no idea…

Interestingly, I took my iPhone into a sauna before (which is a dumb idea, don’t do that; it was a dry/not-steam sauna, if that helps), and it didn’t do that. I actually did know that that was a feature, so I was pretty surprised when it didn’t happen. I wonder how hot it has to get.
