CodeExplorer v0.1 is a jQuery plugin that allows you to not only display code in your browser, but also displays an interactive file folder structure.
It’s like pulling up an FTP window, but launched from within the webpage!
CodeExplorer allows different themes, multiple instances, fullscreen, github connections and more.
Like so many great pieces of web apps and code, this was built from necessity. There wasn’t anything that could do this, so the author built it.
We were having one of our weekly coder meetings and I brought up the subject: “Does anyone know of a good plugin where you can just display a folder full of code?” At first there was a little confusion by trying to explain what I meant, but shortly after everyone agreed that they didn’t know of one. That meant it was time to make one… and so I did.
Love it. I can’t wait for this to be fully released.
