Disk Inventory X, A Graphical Approach to File Space

As technical as some of us may be many of us are still very visually oriented. I know I am!

Someone passed me this yesterday and I thought it would be worth noting this neat disk usage utility for Mac OS X: Disk Inventory X.

You can easily see what’s going on quickly. Check out this very quick video overview:

    wow, I used this a long time ago, changed computers forgot about it, and then needed it.
    Now I can finally use it again because I seriously need to, doh

    I prefer DaisyDisk (http://www.daisydiskapp.com), its way of visualizing disk space is more usable.

      I will +1 DaisyDisk. It’s not free, but it’s visually amazing and informative!

    The Windows program that this is inspired by is called “WinDirStat.”
