I found myself on both sides of this divide, which makes me wonder if there really is one; moreover, if the only people really trying to make the distinction are those who are neither.

In South Africa a nerd is a socially inept geek. I’d much rather be a geek.
(I’m married, therefore by definition I am not socially inept and must fall in the geek category)
