Saw this and thought it was a neat way of creating a temporary landing page.

It looks good, and it looks like a lot more time was spent on that landing page than normal, which is great.

I hope people interested know what city Locust Grove Conference Center is in!

    I like it a lot.

We were recently asked to produce a temp landing page for our church plant and were given pages and pages of content (what we believe, FAQ etc.)

I like this simplicity of this one.

Only question I would have is: how do I get there?

Great idea for a landing page and great design. The amazing thing is that it’s done without Flash, major kudos for that. IMO, a few things should have been thought through before going live, though:

Sundays Mornings is grammatically incorrect. It should be Sunday Mornings, Sundays at 10 AM, or Every Sunday at 10 AM.

I’m also with Brian about location. No map or link to a map. I would say 95% or more of people that visit the site have never been to the church before, just a guess. :) The address for the conference center is on their Facebook page, but most people wouldn’t think to look there.

Also, it may just be me but their logo looks very similar to the Radio Shack logo. Probably not a huge deal, may just be the designer in me.

Overall, great use of a landing page. Can’t wait to see their site after launch.

Hey guys. I actually created the site and am finishing up with the actual site this week before all of our promotions go out. We are doing mass mailers, email blast, yard signs, door hangers, etc.

Thanks for all your feedback. I thought the same thing about the map. But when the site went up it wasn’t a need since we were so far from the launch date. Joel: thanks for the grammatical error catch there. I completely missed it.

The great thing about this site. It was all done in iWeb. The free app that comes standard with a mac. Just wait until you see the new site (all done with iWeb). It’s gonna be sweet.
