The Current State of Social Media [Infographic]

Some of you guys may spend 10, 20, or even 30 hours on social media networks for marketing your blog, advertising for your business, or networking with other like-minded people.

It has become a viable news source for many news companies as late breaking news (for better or for worse). Even the Olympics showed the value in social media as many westerners were looking to it instead of delayed news reports for the latest and greatest gold medal winners.

  • The top five social media networks that have grown in the last four years are Twitter, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Reddit. Surprised?
  • Facebook may be the biggest social network, but the most used network for under 17 years old is Habbo and above 65 is Plaxo. Either of these your target demographic?
