We, along with many others all over the web, have been talking about HTML5 and CSS3 for a while now.
There’s definitely a lot to be excited about, but one of the things that I’m looking forward to the most is the power that the languages are going to offer us when used in conjunction with not only one another but inspiration from some of our desktop applications.
Case in point – CSS3 Stacks as inspired by Leopard…

This little demo site put together by Gordon Brander goes to show what can actually be accomplished using nothing more than CSS3. Awesome.
Up until a couple of years ago, the entire presentation and functionality of this site would require not only markup, but JavaScript, some slick curved border images, and who knows how many hacks to get it to look good across the major browsers.
Straight-awesome.
