Content marketing is the intentional decision to create content that reaches readers in order to drive them back to your platform so you can engage them.
That means for businesses, you write amazing articles to get people to then buy stuff from you. As churches, this is also available to you, but for the Gospel.
Content marketing can come from blogs, social media, newsletters, podcasts, and more, but it focuses on making yourself the expert and creating an established audience.
Here are the top three points from the infographic below:
- The biggest trends expects for marketing in 2015 is suppose to be content marketing, big data, automation, and mobile focus. Notice that social media marketing, SEO, and communities are not even in the top 10%
- It amazes me that we are decades into the Internet, digital marketing sees billions of dollars, and yet people cannot effectively measure or engage online. It doesn’t take that big of a budget, but you have to have the right strategy.
- Further, the fact that 56% of businesses do not have a strategy of some sort baffles me.
If you were to do content marketing, how would you begin for your church?
