WP-Snippets is an excellent resource for those working and developing with WordPress.
In fact, I would say that WP-Snippets is straight forward enough for those new to editing and building on WordPress, too.
They’ve recently had a face-lift, added more chunks of code, and started posting some articles, so you’ll find WP-Snippets even more helpful than before.

Ever since the introduction of the WordPress Admin Bar, there has been a series of hacks for it. One of the more popular snippets I’ve seen, is for its complete removal. Although, I’m not entirely sure why, as you have full control over the Admin Bar in your user settings.
This Admin Bar snippet, however, I find a bit more useful, as the WordPress 3.3 Admin Bar can get a little crowded. Especially if you site has a very long title or you’re running plugins that embed themselves on to the Admin Bar.
Here’s a snippet of code to remove specific menu items from your Admin Bar, without removing it entirely:

Included along with other great stuff, at the end of every week, Tom posts some of his favorite resources from the week. I’m always sure to check and see what cool stuff Tom has come across. Rarely does it disappoint.

Frequently, I am asked how to program websites by teenage students, photographers looking to setup, and those wanting to try something new and unique. This is beyond the basics of HTML that anyone could do on their own and more directed at PHP, JavaScript, and even C++. Short of teaching them myself, all I could is point them to self teaching books, one of the worst ways to learn programming.
