ChurchMag Welcomes the ChurchTech Sub-Reddit

Almost a month ago, I started playing around with Reddit.

A few times I tried posting something from ChurchMag, but quickly found there was no Church tech related Reddit, so I went ahead and dropped it in a Christian Sub-Reddit. It fit and I didn’t think much of it.

Thankfully, “Geek Rev” Herb Halstead decided to start a Church tech Sub-Reddit!

ChurchTech Sub-Reddit

Pretty cool, right?

Currently, there isn’t a lot of readers and the contributions are fairly low at this point, but we’re hoping that’s all about to change.

If you’re a Reddit user, now you’ve got a new awesome Sub-Reddit to read! Now, if you find a cool ChurchTech (not just tech, either, Church tech) snippet on the web, you can drop it on the ChurchTech Sub-Reddit.

Of course, if you’re not a Reddit user, perhaps this is the perfect reason to give it a try!

Take a look at the new ChurchTech Sub Reddit and tell us what you think.

Lets get some basic reddit discussion out of the way. Reddit can be a great place, but it can also be a spiritual minefield. As a long-time redditor and a Christian there are a few suggestions I can give to help maintain your character while using reddit. #1 Make an account and unsubscribe from some of the default subs (i.e. Atheism, Pics, and Funny which all have pretty objectionable content regularly). #2 If it says NSFW it usually is. Don’t click on it. No brainier, right? #3 Install Reddit Enhancement Suite ( Not only does it make Reddit much better for completely non-spiritual reasons, activating the NSFW filter can help with #2 because we all know that we have struggles with sin natures, right? Doing these three things will really help you preserve your personal holiness while taking advantage of a valuable community.
