I don’t mean for my article’s headline to be a hyperbole.
I truly mean it.
In 2010, I was a youth pastor trying to figure out how to do ministry with an ever more digital generation. In that time, I was, just as you are now, enjoying everything that ChurchMag had to offer as a reader. There was nothing elaborate to what they were creating, yet I found myself having a kinship to their content being all nerdy and what-not.
It is because of ChurchMag that I was inspired to take up the craft of blogging.
Initially it was a therapeutic thing to get some of the stress off my mind and simply blog about youth ministry. It then delved deeper into sharing my own opinions, experiences, and resources with local fellow youth pastors and then to the rest of the world. By this time, I asked to jump on board with ChurchMag to talk about practical applications of technology within direct ministry.
I anticipated getting paid to blog. What I got was a group of lifetime friends.
I’ll keep sharing my infographics, evaluating social media, and getting all upset about some injustice here-and-there, but in these 15,000 blog articles, we have found a community of trust, comradely, and spiritual friends whom I identify as family.
And blogging still gets to be therapeutic.

What I appreciate about churchm.ag is: being introduced to new ideas, getting a good laugh now and then, building my resource library, and enjoying some nerd-dom.

Churchmag’s host keeps it real. With all the media that is available and “situations” that occur with them, it helps to hear from those with experience in the ministry.
I don’t feel alone anymore! Lol! Love the insights, tips and perspectives given.

That’s what we want!

I’ve noticed that writing has been somewhat therapeutic in my life as well, even though lately I’ve been doing more offline writing than online.
I appreciate what you and the team bring to the table each week, both on here and on the podcast. Keep up the good work!
