ChurchCrunch Community Blogs – Get In the Pipe!

churchcrunch_communityblogs_yahoopipes

Want to get in our Community Blogs section on the right sidebar? We’d love to have you! It’s powered by Yahoo Pipes and using WordPress’ built-in Feed Parser.

Here’s what it’ll take:

  • Must have an ‘active’ and ‘consistent’ blog. This means that you update regularly (but no spammers please).
  • A good portion of your content is focused on the use of web technology for ministry.
  • If someone called you a technoevangelist it wouldn’t upset you.
  • You use Feedburner for your RSS syndication.
  • You’re sporting one of our delicious ChurchCrunch-Love Squares on your blog.

Got it?

Leave a comment below with a link to your blog and a general overview/estimate of your posting schedule and content-coverage… and make sure you’ve got one of our Love Squares and we’ll get you in!

Also, every month I’ll randomly select a blogger from the community and hook them up with something “nice,” like a new WordPress Theme perhaps…

Cool, jump on it.

    Hey John –

I just started a 2nd blog in February with ministry and technology as the focus.

    it's http://www.ministrytechblog.com

my goal is to post 3x a week, with at least one of those being a short review/recommendation of a piece of hardware and at least 1 of those being a short review/recommendation of software or webapp.

i'm trying to target the tech novice in a small church (just a few staff members), who doesn't have the time to be thinking about technology, but doesn't realize all the cool stuff out there that could be possibly making his or her job a bit easier. so, most of my stuff is pretty common stuff, that probably most of your readers are already using or know about.

I've put the "love squares" as an item on my todo list for after Easter.

I was actually surprised to see a blog centered around the same exact motives that mine is as well. I'd love to be a part of your Yahoo! Pipe :) I just added your square to my blog…

    Post Freq: 1+/week

I look forward to hearing from you, God bless,

    Hey John…

I'll throw mine into the mix. It's fairly new so I imagine it will evolve with age. I just added your square.

    http://newlutheran.com

Post frequency, on average, is hovering around 2-3 posts per week. Themes are primarily focused around the Lutheran church, but apply to others as well. So far there's been discussion on average age of church members, church image (contemporary vs. traditional), baptism, liturgy, and here lately church technology has been a big topic on my twitter feed. I'll be addressing more of that through the blog over the coming weeks.

Can you get a Feedburner account?

        • July 13, 2009 at #

You should make sure your feed auto-redirects…!

          ;)

—Sorry for the brevity and rampant spelling errors… This was obviously “Sent from my iPhone”.

is that what you are looking for?

  22. August 4, 2009 at #

    thanks dude, appreciate it
I might have some interesting research for NPonline that I am working on.
It is from the show sportsnation on ESPN where they do a lot of interaction with people on the web via their website. Reminded me a lot of church online stuff. I need to watch a little more and see how it works, but maybe something could be learned from tis.
    Just a thought

    Hey John,

Love to get a feature on your site.
    http://www.duncanrobinson.net….my rss feed is
    feed://www.duncanrobinson.net/?feed=rss2

I blog about 2-3 times a week, and have been blogging for about 3 years. I post probably about 60% of the time about technology and ministry stuff. Some times it is a reflection on a book or a creative idea. Other times it might be a new sermon. It really is a bunch of various stuff, but I have a bias to technology in ministry because of my background.

Post 3-5 times /week on relevant worship leader oriented info. Gear. Review. Best Practices. Etc.

I know I’m like a year behind the curveball on this…but hopefully you’ll forgive me, John?

    John,

We just totally re-vamped the site thanks to your Standard 2 Theme. Totally hawt, btw. In any case, I’d love to have http://www.gotworship.net included in the pipe if it is not too late. We post at least 3-5 times each week with topics relevant to worship pastors, worship leaders, church musicians, and songwriters.

Thanks for the consideration and for the awesome theme as the backbone for http://www.gotworship.net !

    In Christ,

    Jason
