You’ve seen it.
I know it.
Christians who abuse social media in the name of Jesus.
It’s all done under the guise of “spreading the Gospel” and “getting the word out,” but in actuality, it’s being spammish and rude.
It reminds me of these scanned pages from an old piece of Christian literature titled: Witnessing Made Easy: How to Pass Out Tracts for Jesus:
Seriously?
The Gospel isn’t something to be shared in such sneaky ways. The Gospel can be shared directly, but not like this! Ultimately, I believe it should be told through our day to day lives as we love and care for those around us. Our lives should be in such a way that compels others to take notice and ask, “Why are you different?” That’s a heart that is open and ready for planting the seeds of the Gospel.
So, think twice before you spam the Gospel.
God doesn’t need our help, we need his. 🙂
Have you seen fellow Christians abusing social media?

I love your content, but, as an editor (among other roles), it’s hard for me to deal with the typos and grammar errors.
“Christian’s,” as you write here, is the possessive form, not the plural. Never use an apostrophe to pluralize. The only case for using the word as you’ve written it would be if you’re talking about one Christian’s coat, hat or socks, etc. “Christians see, Christians do … ” is correct. When in doubt, just kill the apostrophe.
Not trying to be critical, just seeking to inform. Representing God and the church demands excellence in all things, including grammar, punctuation, and style.

You and my wife would get along! 🙂

just being snarky…but are we Christian’s because we possess Jesus Christ 😛
My wife would also get a long with you.

Well, Jonathan, it would have to be only one of us 😀
Also, S/O to your wife!

It drives me nuts when “Christians” do this. What, like this earns you your “Witnessing” merit badge? Like it’s just a checkbox to become a full-fledged Disciple? Or my favorite, the picture perfect “God is so awesome today! Let’s smile for Him! XOXO” status update. It’s like the girl who never frowns, ever. Kinda creepy…
Really, if you don’t make the effort to relate to someone, they don’t have any obligation to make the effort to listen to you. Building the relationship earns you that courtesy. Especially if you’ve lived honestly.
