I've been thinking of designing some cards that I can give to the students at our church that they could give out to other friends that they want to invite or get involved at our church. I'm beginning to do more with facebook with them, thinking of doing some e-blasts, thinking of some creative ways to drive excitement.

    word.

  4. January 7, 2010 at #

Your timing is impeccable since I just started up a new company. The UPrinting.com samples look sweet. Count me in.

I attended the Urbana missions conference at the end of '09. I really wished I had business cards when I hit the convention floor.

  6. January 7, 2010 at #

I'd use the cards to pimp my *slowly* emerging side-business (which will hopefully turn into something great and break me of my dependence on corporate America to earn my living).

  7. January 7, 2010 at #

urbana was awesome! (i went years ago.)

  8. January 7, 2010 at #

8 months ago I asked God what it is He wants me to do. It got kinda quiet around here.
Without realizing it, because of some things I did at church, people started asking me (and paying me!) to help them do websites, flyers, videos, etc. Then about 6 wks ago, it occurred to me that this was my answer. (I'm a little dense, so it took a while for me to catch on.)
So now, I'm starting my own freelance design firm. Just me right now. And I'm still insecure about my ability. But I'm trying anyway, since God is handing me clients.
I could really use some creative business cards.

Sorry, I wrote you a book.
    Thanks for the opportunity!

I've been looking into getting business cards with the Gospel on one side and my website and contact info on the other to use while witnessing door-to-door. This would be great!

  11. January 7, 2010 at #

    less lame! FTW!

  12. January 7, 2010 at #

I would totally try even harder to make my small web business work.

    I'm pushing that photography business.

John, you'll like this. I got my first corporate photo gig coming up next week. The outfit is going to be at a resort in the same town that I live in (Palm Coast, FL). They're from Wisconsin and need new head shots and some other photos for their website and marketing materials. The found my website through a Google search. My site http://www.carusophotography.com is built on the framework of WordPress but I was able to make a static page the home page and make the blog a linked area from that thanks to the awesomeness of WP and the ability to customize it. They found my search largely because of the SEO tips that I picked up from Churchcrunch and the several conversations we have had.

So some new cards to and out would be great.

We just launched The Purity Report on 1/1/2010. I'm talking to a graphic designer now to get a brand mark created. I'd love to print some cards once that's done.

    2. I'm an out-of-work independent contractor.

    3. A wiser person told me 8 months ago that I needed to get business cards and I still don't have them! How lame is that?

    4. One of my goals for 2010 is to be less lame.

    You guys rock!

  34. January 7, 2010 at #

I'm starting a web design firm that targets local businesses.

  35. January 7, 2010 at #

I'm potentially looking to start out on my own in web/IT consulting for businesses that don't have the funds to hire an IT department, but still need solid advice when it comes to technology. Not an easy gig these days, but one of the first steps is definitely business cards so people remember who I am.

  36. January 8, 2010 at #

I'd give them away… I mean give them away for others to put what they want on them. I'd love to do a giveaway from my blog similar to this one.

    -Marshall Jones Jr.

I am a senior in college who is looking for a job in a church somewhere. I could use these cards to help with meeting pastors and getting my name out. My current job requires me to do design and marketing which will hopefully benefit me in a youth position somewhere.

  46. January 8, 2010 at #

Well – I would promote my freelance business, IFB Design, which specializes in web design, graphic design, and SEO. We have special pricing for NFP's, and with the economy the way it is, anything I can do to make extra income would be helpful.

  54. January 10, 2010 at #

Woops – I mispelled the web address. The website for The Pure in Heart Project is http://www.thepureinheartproject.com

It would be nice to be able to design another set of calling cards to hand out to volunteers. Our mission is to create handmade greeting cards with scripture verses enclosed, then anonymously and prayerfully we place them in various locations around our communities as a way to minister encouragement to our neighbors.
