A very simple strategy to get your content out there is to provide simple widgets for your readers, especially your ministry website.
Just imagine the viral increase of your ministry brand and content…!
*gasp*!
And what would happen if you actually built a simple campaign encouraging your congregation to use the widget…?!?
*gasp*!
Stuff you’ll need:
- An RSS feed.
- Google Reader.
- 3 Minutes of your time.
- A place for others to copy and paste the widget code.
- A good friend to test (Thanks @scbubba!)
Here’s the video how-to. If you want to try the ChurchCrunch Widget on your site, check it out here!

Happy to help out.
Thanks for the "How to" video. Nicely done.
Sweet! 3 minutes of my time? Whoa, slow down cowboy, now you are asking a lot. Actually, I wonder if it will be the people to host your blog on their website.

sure, thank you!
yeah. well, for ministries this could be a big win. for individuals… not so much… but, it depends on the community, really. I built one for fun, but i'm not pulling metrics on usage. I don't expect anyone to rock my widget.
I agree, I think ministries with a lot of personal-blog bloggers would really benefit. I think it is all about community and how the community can work together, so like you said: in the right community, this could really be impactful.
I thought it was really cool. I almost started another blog just so I could throw mine up there.
puahahha. you kidder you.
Wow dude. Driving to work this morning, I was wondering how to do this! You have awesome timing!
oh, sweet.! also, so strange, but i just drafted an entry that has nearly the same title as yours: http://www.egracecreative.com/2008/11/10/you-cant... – so i have to change mine now… wierd.
