I work with a digital ad agency and I do know that when it comes to branding, color selection, etc., a lot comes into play. However, one of the major considerations has to be what the color depicts, represents, and how it speaks to people. This is why I really appreciate this infographic called the “Psychology of Color.”
Here are some interesting things the infographics has to say:
Yellow stimulates the nervous system, activates memory and encourages communication.
Green soothes, relaxes the ind and gives a sense of renewal.
Blue calms and aids intuition. Remember that blue also happens is both gender’s favorite color—now we know why you are glued to Facebook and Twitter.
Looking for a zing to encourage creativity? Go with Purple, as it the color is known to fuel creative juice and uplifts.
Pink acts like Red in a lot of ways, and can increase blood pressure, heartbeat, respiration, and pulse rate. However it doesn’t provide that sense of protection from fear and anxiety like Red does.
