Sometimes you have to get back to the analog.
Do I love my digital tools?
Heck yeah!
But sometimes you have to take a step back from the digital i/o and get back to the analog. Maybe I am old fashioned or just old, but I’ve come-up with some of my best mock-ups and ideas with a pencil and paper.
So why do I always revert back to the digital?
How about you? What happens when you go analog?
Maybe if our analog tools were as cool as these, we all could become iPencil fanboys:

I always love the feel of a pen or pencil when writing out ideas in a notebook or sketchbook. Something about that has deeper feeling then just doing it on the computer.

I know that feel.

I love using actual pen and paper as well. I’m faster at typing than writing so it forces me to slow down and think a bit more, plus it also opens up the ability to add pics along side as well. Plus styli don’t have the same friction on the screen as a pencil or pen.
Evernote works great in connection as well as it can OCR pictures for text to search.
My favorite notebooks are Field Notes because they are so small and disposable but I have a whole range of different sizes as I find different size notebooks can help form a different mindset. And I tend to use mechanical pencils, I just prefer them.
So yay analogue tools!
