I love the interactive children apps they’ve been coming out with for touch screen devices.
Most recently, the Interactive Van Gogh Storybook, The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore and the Adventure of Moses: An Interactive iPad Storybook.
I love that these apps aren’t designed for the sole purpose of occupying our children, so we don’t have to be “bothered” by them. These apps are designed to enhance and enrich the classic storybook experience.
What a fun way to spend some time with your younger kids.
Here’s another app and book you may want to add to your library:
Parrot Carrot Safari

This iPhone App is designed to accompany and add to the experience of the book, as they were released together.
Here’s what the book is about:
Parrot Carrot introduces early readers to a cast of rhyming creatures. Meet Snake Rake, Gnu Canoe and more in this delightfully original title for early readers. With fantastical illustrations and lovingly hand-crafted type, each page will appeal to young kids and to their design savvy parents.
WOOT!
