Apparently Apple has banned an iPhone application called “Me So Holy” which essentially puts a personal picture taken on the iPhone and cropped into the portrait of Christ’s head and face.
Obviously it’s a play on the “Me So Horny” meme that isn’t necessarily appropriate for all audiences.
The Apple SDK Agreement states:
“Applications must not contain any obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory content or materials of any kind (text, graphics, images, photographs, etc.), or other content or materials that in Apple’s reasonable judgement may be found objectionable by iPhone or iPod touch users.”
Benjamin Kahle, the developer, stated on his blog:
“We feel that Apple is being too sensitive to its perceived user group and are disappointed that this otherwise creative, freethinking company would reject such a positive and fun application. The message to developers is that they should think inside the box, rather than outside it.”

Frankly, I think the app is silly. Secondly, it's Apple's business, they can do what they want. Thirdly, I don't care. Not having a way to paste my face into an illustration of Christ's likeness doesn't really seem all that important.

The video made me fall asleep… this app is kind of dumb. IMHO
I am all for innovation within the church… but this is not the innovation that we need. I think it is just plain stupid.
