A Podcast About Social Media, Internet Campuses & Online Ministry

It is nearly impossible to define DJ Chuang. He’s tech-savvy and passionate about the possibilities of online ministry. I didn’t know this until recently, but he has yet another claim to fame: he created the first webpage dedicated to the teachings of Timothy Keller.

Well, he’s at it again (or better yet, he’s continually at it) with a podcast called “Social Media Church”.

At the time of this writing, he has 20+ episodes and adds new episodes frequently. I like that he also includes extensive show notes so that you can refer to links, books and other tidbits from the interview. Whether you are interested in who actually tweet from Bishop T.D. Jakes twitter account or how the first internet campus came to be, he’s got you covered.

His extensive connections bring a variety of personalities and voices to the table. Whether he’s interviewing Saddleback’s Jay Kranda or my very own mother, it’s his willingness to share his platform with up-and-comers that brings a freshness and depth to this resource.

I find myself recommending this podcast because of the intentionality put into generating a forum for ideas and best practices in this fairly new arena within the context of ministry.

You can find the podcast in a variety of places online, all of which are listed on socialmediachurch.net. You can also submit questions and feedback by calling 949-354-3216 and leaving a voicemail.

Have you ever listened to this before? What podcasts do you listen to that talk about ministry online?

Thanks for the mention here, I feel touched and honored, to be featured at the ultimate church tech blog here at churchm.ag! I do my best to keep the http://SocialMediaChurch.net podcast updated weekly, as that seems to be the optimal frequency for keeping a conversation going. And I do appreciate the efforts here by the churchm.ag team to keep a brisk daily flow of content about church and tech here, a stellar effort at that!
