I know that Sandals Church's own sexual abuse recovery group, Beauty for Ashes, uses an online site in addition to weekly meetings. It is for sharing testimonies and encouragement between meetings. There has also been a men's / spouses of survivors group started and they connect online quite a bit too.

Don't know of any "major" groups but would also like info.

John:
Thanks so much for this interview. My online path keeps crossing with Rhett and I'm even more impressed with the heart God's given him after reading this.

I am personally excited to see what is ahead for sexual abuse recovery groups as more and more women within the church deal with this issue and connect with others who are grieving this loss. Social media will be key in connecting the broken ones to support, encouragement, places of healing and to new relationships with their Healer. God wants us to start talking about the private hells we live in so He can reach in and heal. Social media will just facilitate what He's already doing in many lives.

Thanks again, John for your diligence in sharing stories of folks doing cool God stuff.

Wow Dawn, really appreciating this comment here. Rhett's a great guy, huh? Do you know any major sexual abuse groups online that are using technology to band together, etc? Love to know. I've got some people in mind that might find that of value.

dude, thanks for the interview. it was a pleasure being interviewed by you. i think about those questions a lot, but never have to answer them, so it was good practice for me.
