8BIT Acquires Beacon Ad Network

At 8BIT, we’re extremely excited to announce our acquisition of the Beacon Ad Network, the fastest growing Christian advertising network in the world. It’s been a busy start to the year, working out the details of the contract, and we think that our work with Beacon will continue to solidify it as the premiere advertising choice for Christian advertising.

From the Press Release:

8BIT today announced the acquisition of the Beacon Ad Network. Effective March 1st, the cash transaction combines the advertising expertise of Beacon with 8BIT’s extensive software development and blogging knowledge. Beacon is the worldʼs leading Christian advertising network, built to make connecting with a Christian audience easy for advertisers.

About Beacon

Beacon is an up-and-coming advertising network that connects Christian websites with Christian advertisers. We remove the pain of finding and analyzing advertising spots, and make it easy to bill and process advertisements. There are many aspects to buying and selling ads that most website owners would prefer to avoid, so we handle it for you instead.

Over 200 websites use Beacon, including Carlos Whittaker, The Gospel Coalition, and Michael Hyatt. New sites are admitted every day. Some of the top advertisers include Clover, The City by Zondervan, Christianity Today, and Crossway.

I was talking to an advertiser who uses Beacon, and she said that it makes it so much easier to find sites, since they’re all in one place. We’ve found that scouring the internet for the perfect ad space can be frustrating for marketers, and closing the deal is different for each site. By creating a unified process, advertisers can easily choose from our stable of websites.

If you haven’t used Beacon before, be sure to check it out at Beaconads.com.
