I think calling the fundraising tool a tool of evil is a little excessive, I built it to help wonderful people promote wonderful causes. It's now been moved to http://regentware.com if you're looking for it - Christopher

Fundraising thermometers are a tool of evil. No joke. No sarcasm. Use them if you really hate nonChristian skeptics and you want to fulfill the stereotypes they have in their minds about what your church (or church website in this case) is going to be like.

AH HA! they will exclaim. I KNEW IT! And then they will decide all their other assumptions must be correct as well and promptly leave without giving you an opportunity to introduce them to the Jesus we really know.

I'm probably being overdramatic and alarmist. But I believe this is a common conversation that goes on in the head of a skeptic.

lol

When the Church I go to; Stellenberg Community Church rebrands and relaunched in a few months, I am going to advice that we host our own blog. The WP com hosted one just is not that versatile and does not have cool plugins :-)Gotta get me one of those fundraising thermometer things. Do they go up automatically?
