There are tons of people out there who are really rocking it out with the DSLR technology. But, the problem is that there are tons…! Who do you know who you should really follow?
Well, here are my personal picks of 5 top HD DSLR Revolutionaries:

- Prolifik Films: These guys produce great videos on DSLR for a variety of churches and non-profits, most notably the Willow Creek Association Global Leadership Summit. They have also made borderline crazy decisions to shoot with DSLRs over “real” video cameras. They rock.
- Philip Bloom: His name is synonymous with the DSLR revolution and he’s practically an Internet celebrity. He’s also a fantastic resource for up-and-coming filmmakers, sharing his wealth of knowledge and British accent with anyone who’s not an internet troll.
- Stu Machwitz: Stu used to work for George Lucas. What else needs to be said? He also authored the great resource, “The DV Rebel’s Guide”. Of all of the revolutionaries, Stu has been quick to point out the flaws of DSLR cameras, and almost nobody knows more about pixels than Stu. He’s also an incredible wealth of color correction knowledge.
- Shane Hurlbut: A real Hollywood DP and DSLR evangelist, Shane was the director of photography for Terminator Salvation and shares a wealth of information on DSLR workflow in feature films.
- Zacuto: Purveyors of fine (and expensive) camera accessories, Zacuto has also been at the forefront of DSLR advocacy and helped produce many resources for independent shooters. Their web-series “Film Fellas” asks industry professionals difficult questions about the future of film and the rise of “game changing” cameras.

How about Vincent Laforet? He pretty much started the DSLRs as legitimate video cameras movement.
